Abstract: The platelet function inhibitors (PFI) acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) and clopidogrel are widely used in a broad spectrum of atherothrombotic diseases, either as mono- or dual antiplatelet therapy. Platelet function is inhibited for the whole lifespan of platelets (10 days).
