Abstract: The therapeutic concept of irreversible inhibition of both ornithine decarboxylase (ODC) and S-adenosylmethionine decarboxylase (SAMDC) by alpha-difluoromethylornithine (DFMO) and methylglyoxal bis-guanylhydrazone (MGBG) is based on pathologic activities of these enzymes in tumor tissue.
