Abstract:One of the rare findings regarding the hernial sac is the vermiform appendix. This pathology, defined as Amyand’s hernia, occurs in almost 1% of all inguinal hernia cases (0.19-1.7%). Usually, it is diagnosed intraoperatively, because the preoperative diagnosis is very difficult. We report the case of a 56-year-old man with a voluminous mass in the right inguinal-scrotal region.
