Abstract: Introduction: Parkinson's disease is the world's second most prevalent neurological disease. In Parkinson’s disease intracytoplasmic neuronal inclusions are observed in enteric neurons in the gastrointestinal tract, and the composition of the intestinal microbiome is altered.
