Therapeutic Plasma Exchange

Abstract

During the 29th Regional Congress of the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) in Basel (Switzerland), a total of 13 reports devoted to therapeutic hemapheresis were presented during a separate poster session. The presentations included data on the use of selected therapeutic hemapheresis techniques (plasmapheresis, erythroapheresis, photopheresis) in some diseases and clinical conditions. The majority of these reports (8) came from India, 3 from the United States and only 2 from Europe (Germany and Portugal).
