Abstract: Charge transfer in molecular systems occurs between molecules, atoms, or ions, collectively called sites. Theories of charge transfer are fundamental to understanding both natural molecular systems, such as photosynthesis, and artificial molecular systems, such as organic semiconductors or inorganic coordination complexes.
