this paper first performs a comprehensive narration of the policy researches on non-state-owned museum, and confirmed that in the researches on non-state-owned museums at present, the research on supporting policy is insufficient. Then, according to the research on the supporting direction of the museum regulations, the paper summarizes six key problems that exist in the policy support for the non-state-owned museums. On this basis, the paper performs text analysis on the local policies for non-state museum in some areas of our country, and found the problems of talent guarantee and cooperation between museums are most important in the six problems. Finally, based on the previous findings, the author put forward some advice for improvement, and looks forward to making some contributions to the development of non-state museum.

This article considers the role of textual studies in a digital world and reviews the work of a particular group of digital textual scholars. Specifically, the article examines the work of the Textual Studies team at the Implementing New Knowledge Environments project (INKE.ca), a group of digital textual scholars working on user experience, interface design, and information management with the goal of better understanding how reading is changing in the context of digital media. INKE’s work rethinks what the book can become and aims to generate prototypes to be shared on an open-source basis with the public.

This article examines the relationship of material text (text of the document) and paratext in light of fourteenth to sixteenth century evidence. Despite the wealth of interest generated by paratexts and paratextuality in recent years, especially in the fields of literary studies, book history, and translation studies, theoretical approaches to paratexts and paratextuality remain scarce. The paratextual status of an element is typically determined by its function, in combination with its distance from the material text: elements within the codex which do not share space with the text are part of the paratext. Less studied, however, is the gray area of elements which are located within the codex and share the space with the text. We examine this border between text and paratext through an analysis of late medieval and early modern initials, typeface, script and notes. While the form and function of the element are a good starting point, we propose that gauging the optionality of the element, in relation to the abstract text of the work and the material text of the document, is a better indicator of its paratextual status. Optionality should therefore be taken into consideration as evidence of a type of contemporary paratextual understanding.
