Theoretical Investigation of the Bond Dissociation of Hydroxyl Terminated Polybutadiene Binder and Effect on Mechanical Properties

Abstract: The binder of hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) cured by toluene diisocyanate (TDI) is usually used in solid propellants, in which the crucial issue involved in the storage and use is aging problem. The quantum chemistry calculation was used to analyze the relationship between homolytic bond dissociation energy (BDE) of two HTPB-TDI binder models and bond decomposition caused by aging. The computational results were proved to be reliable and suitable for comparative analysis. The BDE values of C-O bonds… Show more

“…Liver organoids, have also exhibited an improved activity of CYP3A4, a key mediator of drug clearance. [ 149 ] The inclusion of inflammatory cytokines such as TNF‐α were found to support the expansion of the organoids in vitro, with hepatocytes retaining their functionality and engraftment potential. These organoids were found to regenerate mice (FAH−/− mice) liver tissues and respond to Wnt signals, known to promote cellular proliferation, both during homeostasis and regeneration (Figure 4B).…”

“…[ 166 ] Thus, several protocols have been achieved to generate different types of liver organoids, such as hepatic organoids, [ 167 ] cholangiocyte organoids, [ 168,169 ] hepato‐biliary‐pancreatic organoids, [ 170 ] and hepato‐biliary organoids. [ 171 ]…”

“…[ 333 ] Moreover, PSC/iPSC‐derived 3D liver organoids can be generated by starting either with a coculture of cell‐types, for instance, iPSC‐derived endodermal, endothelial, and mesenchymal cells, [ 346 ] or with a homogeneous cell population that during the culture protocol differentiates into the different hepatic cell‐lineages. [ 347,348 ] The use of PSCs/iPSCs allows to generate multicellular 3D models with all hepatic cell lineages incorporated being genetically identical. [ 336,347 ] Human iPSCs derived from fibroblasts, blood cells or any other cell‐type of a donor, can be differentiated in all hepatic cell‐types and thus present an unlimited pool of cellular material for diagnostic purposes or toxicity testing.…”
