Abstract-Analysis of structural properties and dynamics of networks is currently a central topic in many disciplines including Social Sciences, Biology and Business. CINET, a cyberinfrastructure for such studies, introduced the concept of supporting network analysis as a service. The basic idea is to allow experts in various disciplines to focus on obtaining domain-specific insights from the results of network analyses instead of worrying about programming details and allocation of computational resources needed to carry out the analyses. A basic version of CINET was released in May 2012. This paper discusses CINET 2.0, a significantly enhanced version that supports complex network analyses through a web portal. CINET 2.0 has already been used for teaching courses related to Network Science at several US universities. In this paper, we discuss how CINET 2.0 significantly extends CINET 1.0 through enhancements to some components and the addition of new components.

Many digital library design, development, and deployment processes are not based on systematic generation activities. The utilization of generation processes enables the precise definition of digital libraries, identification of existing software components, co-generation of multiple digital libraries, and evaluation of a digital library's coverage and completeness. The foundation of a digital library generation process is in the formal framework in which it is described. Two notable formal frameworks have previously been proposed for describing digital libraries and their content, architecture, functionality, and related societies. These two frameworks are merged in this effort to provide the foundation for a generation framework in support of an emerging class of scientific digital libraries.

This tutorial is a thorough and deep introduction to the DL field, providing a firm foundation: covering key concepts and terminology, as well as services, systems, technologies, methods, standards, projects, issues, and practices. It introduces and builds upon a firm theoretical foundation (starting with the '5S' set of intuitive aspects: Streams, Structures, Spaces, Scenarios, Societies), giving careful definitions and explanations of all the key parts of a 'minimal digital library', and expanding from that basis to cover key DL issues. Illustrations come from a set of case studies. Attendees will be exposed to four Morgan & Claypool books that elaborate on 5S, 2012-2014. Complementing the coverage of '5S' will be an overview of key aspects of the DELOS Reference Model and DL.org activities. Further, use of a Hadoop cluster supporting DLs will be described.
