Abstract:Dye is the key to the efficiency of harvesting solar energy in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The dye performances such as light absorption, electron injection, and electron regeneration depend on the dye molecule structure. To predict it, one needs to compute the optimized molecule geometry, HOMO level, LUMO level, electron density distribution, energy gaps, and dipole moment in the ground and excited state. Chlorophyll-related chlorin and porphyrin, as well as their κ2O,O’ complexes with Fe(II/III), wer… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
