Abstract:The measurement of a laser linewidth is significant in metrology, coherent optical communications, high-resolution sensing, and LIDAR. Firstly, in this study, we theoretically explain why estimating an integrated linewidth via a frequency-noise power spectral density (PSD) is valid.
