“…As a former public (state) school drama teacher, the relationship of dramatherapy and education has long been a passion of mine (Gaines, Butler, and Holmwood In press; Butler 2015) and so when I read Fiaschini's (2014) call for a greater involvement of dramatherapists in schools for a social purpose, I was intrigued and I find myself questioning some of his conclusions. I am aware that I come from a North American perspective, with a limited understanding of schools, theatre and dramatherapy in Italy, but I would argue that school-based theatre internationally is more diverse than he suggests.…”
