The wartime and post‐war reception of Caesarius of Arles

Abstract: This article focuses on the reception of Caesarius, bishop of Arles, from the end of his fourteenth centenary in 1942 to the beginning of his fifteenth in 1970, with particular attention to religious and political contexts.
