Abstract: On March 11, 2020, the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the highly infectious virus that causes coronavirus disease (COVID-19), was characterized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a global pandemic [1,2].
