Abstract: In this study, a critical evaluation and the benefits of using a waste and a virgin polymer in an asphalt mixture are presented. The present paper is the result of a three-year research effort to find a suitable recyclate compatible with asphalt binder and setting reaction conditions in the preparation of asphalt mixtures with the mentioned recyclate.
