The Use of the LSHR Sampler to Determine Total Oxygen Contents in the Ladle and Tundish for Different Steel Grades

Abstract: The LSHR sampler is a new development for providing a sample volume large enough to study semi‐macro and macro inclusions in clean steel. “…As most integrated steel plants are equipped with automatic sampling poles, their use minimises the chances of variability of the location and depth of sample collection in a steel reactor such as tundish or ladle including variability due to operator assisted sampling.
