OBJETIVO: Verificar a percepção das mulheres com câncer do colo do útero sobre a incapacidade/deficiência tendo como referência a estrutura e a linguagem biopsicossocial proposta pela Classificação Internacional de Funcionalidade, Incapacidade e Saúde (CIF/ICF).MÉTODOS: Estudo do tipo série de casos. Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas abordando informações sociodemográficas e do estado clínico, além de componentes biopsicossociais, com 20 mulheres com câncer do colo do útero. O procedimento para descrição da percepção foi feito pela análise dos corpos textuais e ligação com o modelo biopsicossocial da CIF/ICF.RESULTADOS: Após a ligação das informações da entrevista semiestruturada das mulheres com os componentes da CIF/ICF, a maior frequência de relato de incapacidade/ deficiência foi para o componente Atividade e participação (41,6%), seguido de Fatores ambientais (25,2%), Funções do corpo (19,5%) e Estruturas do corpo (13,7%).CONCLUSÕES: Os achados sugerem que a percepção das mulheres sobre a incapacidade/deficiência afeta diferentes componentes do modelo biopsicossocial. A incorporação da percepção das usuárias nas rotinas de planejamento do cuidado em saúde é fundamental para o alinhamento das linhas de cuidado para mulheres com câncer do colo do útero com a Política Nacional de Humanização do Sistema Único de Saúde.

Introduction: The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICFDH) gives a valid assessment for assessing the extent of impairment, level of capacity, performance, and functions along with the role of the environment. In the current study, an abridged version of ICFDH was developed and studied for its applicability in the general population for quantification along with summarizing the pattern of correlations among observed variables. Materials and methods: Descriptive study was carried out among 72 (36 in rural and urban area each) subjects with a response to 20 variables on 14 areas of the ICFDH. Principal component analysis (PCA) using R studio package (version 3.4.4) was done to detect a set of variables forming coherent subsets that are independent of each other. Results: Study subjects had mean age of 35 [standard deviation (SD) ± 5.4] years and 58.0% were males. The average score indicates mild level of impairment, mildly and moderately affected performance and capacity for learning and applied knowledge, and communication. Environmental support was observed with an average score of 2.78 for products and technology, 3.47 for supports and relationships, 3.42 for attitude toward others, and 3.29 for services, systems, and platforms. Sizes of correlation were significant in the matrix, with statistically significant Bartlett's test of sphericity (p=0.00) with good factorability (Kaiser-Meyer=0.76). First two components explains maximum (55.0%) of variance with high loading of 15 variables on the first principal component. Conclusion: Included variables are observed to be coherent with the theoretical construct of the ICFDH, and the study tool is quite feasible to administer in community-based settings.

Objective: To determine the health profiles of patients who have been delivered home health care services by public hospitals in over the last five years. Methods: Data which were recorded by the Ministry of Health and the Diyarbakır Directorate of Health Services had been provided from 1,826 patients from three city center and five district hospitals located in Diyarbakir, Turkey. Results: Of 1,826 patients, 989 (54%) were female and 837 (46%) were male. The patients were divided into three age groups: 0-18 years 467 (25%), 19-64 years 511 (28%) and +65 years 848 (47%). There were more female patients in +65 age group and male in 0-18 age group (χ 2 = 89.923, p < .001). In 2015, there was an increase in the number of people who received services in all age groups (χ 2 = 164.344, p < .001). It was found that neurodegenerative diseases were more widespread in +65 age group (χ 2 = 44.823, p < .001). Neurogenetic dieases were more seen in the 0-18 age group (χ 2 = 97.800, p < .001). In the +65 age group, musculoskeletal (χ 2 = 16.037, p < .001) and respiratory diseases (χ 2 = 6.054, p < .05) were detected to be more widespread. There were no significant sex-based differences between the years involved (χ 2 = 2.246, p > .05). Neurodegenerative diseases (χ 2 = 4.07, p < .05), neurogenetic diseases (χ 2 = 6.043, p < .05) and respiratory diseases (χ 2 = 5.254, p < .05) were determined to be more widespread in male patients. Musculoskeletal (χ 2 = 17.943, p < .001)and cardiovascular diseases (χ 2 = 11.994, p < .001) were seen more in female groups. Conclusions: Over the last five years, there has been an increase in the utilization of home health care services. Policy legislation for health care services to be provided at home is generating succesful results.
