Abstract:Neonatal thromboembolic events are rare, and only a few cases of intrauterine spontaneous arterial thromboembolisms have been reported in the literature. Thrombolytic therapy with recombinant tissue plasminogen activator is usually the preferred treatment because it has a short half-life, fewer systemic side effects, and a strong, specific affinity for fibrin.
