Abstract:Introduction: Liver ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury is an unavoidable and no cure process in clinical liver transplantation. We previously reported to prevent liver I/R through gene silencing using siRNA. Although this strategy is promising in animal models, however, several concerns such as global gene silencing have been raised when the siRNA is administrated systemically. The aim of this study is to develop a hepatocyte-specific delivery system of siRNA for treatment of liver I/R injury. Methods: shRNA ex… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
