“…Methionine [13][14][15] , histidine [16] , cysteine [17,18] and peptide [19] all can effectively protect metal materials from corrosion in various aggressive media. Furthermore, amino acid inhibitors combining with some halide ion (such as Br -, I -) [13,20,21] , Zn 2+ ion [22] and organic surfactant [23][24][25] , can enhance its inhibition efficiency.…”

“…et al [8] , have studied the corrosion behavior of four aluminum alloys when they are in contact with a commercial PCMs based on the Glauber´s salt (Na2SO4·10 H2O). Results indicated that the Al 2024 alloy was corroded in this PCMs due to formation of NaAlCO3(OH)2 in contact with air.The aluminum alloys 3003, 6063 and 1050 showed to be fully compatible with this PCMs.Most research was focused on the corrosion level of different container material, only a little work has been devoted to study the corrosion mechanism of metal in PCMs to reduce the corrosion of metal in PCMs [9][10][11] .Amino acids, which are easily available, relatively cheap, non-toxic and completely soluble in aqueous media, are considered to be the most promising green inhibitors [12] .Methionine [13][14][15] , histidine [16] , cysteine [17,18] and peptide [19] all can effectively protect metal materials from corrosion in various aggressive media. “…Protective ability of L-glutamine for Al7075 alloy was low in unstirred solution, but it increases under hydrodynamic conditions [68]. The environment friendly inhibitors cysteine, N-acetylcysteine, and methionine were proposed for the protection of copper alloys [69,70].…”

“…In particular, amino acids like L-cysteine and its derivatives containing sulphur have shown superior inhibition efficiency attributed to the presence of sulphur atoms, as a result of which they can be adsorbed as bidentate ligands with coordination taking place through both the amino or carboxyl group and -SH [21][22].…”
