The Use and Misuse of Early English Books Online

Abstract: Early English Books Online (EEBO) is a key electronic resource for scholars working on pre-1700 British literature and history. This article provides a brief history of this resource from its origins as a microfilm project and its relationship with other bibliographical and electronic resources.
