The current study investigates the influence of adopting internet of things (IoT) within the field of accounting in order to enhance and support a better decision-making process during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study sheds light on this issue from the perspective of managers and leaders within the Jordanian industrial sector. Variables of IoT specifications within the accounting field were taken into consideration, including (AI and cloud computing, real-time data, streamlining accounting operations, minimizing auditing efforts and efficiency of workforce management) as independent variables, while (quality of accounting decision-making) was considered as the dependent variable. A quantitative approach was employed, through an online-uploaded questionnaire distributed to a sample of (143) accounting managers within industrial organizations in Jordan. SPSS, v. 27 was used and the results of the study proved the acceptance of the main hypothesis, stating that "IoT has the ability to present better quality of accounting decisions during the COVID-19 pandemic". The results also indicated that the variables of IoT were influential, where the variable (minimizing auditing efforts) scored a medium correlation and explained 43.3% of the variance, in comparison to the least influential variable which appeared to be AI and cloud computing with a medium correlation explaining 25.7% of the variance. The study recommended the necessity of conducting analysis of possible risks in a clear and comprehensive manner in order to highlight the prediction, evaluation and treatment of occurring problems in the future.

Many policymakers envisage using a community model and Big Data technology to achieve the sustainability demanded by intelligent city components and raise living standards. Smart cities use different technology to make their residents more successful in their health, housing, electricity, learning, and water supplies. This involves reducing prices and the utilization of resources and communicating more effectively and creatively for our employees. Extensive data analysis is a comparatively modern technology that is capable of expanding intelligent urban facilities. Digital extraction has resulted in the processing of large volumes of data that can be used in several valuable areas since digitalization is an essential part of daily life. In many businesses and utility domains, including the intelligent urban domain, successful exploitation and multiple data use is critical. This paper examines how big data can be used for more innovative societies. It explores the possibilities, challenges, and benefits of applying big data systems in intelligent cities and compares and contrasts different intelligent cities and big data ideas. It also seeks to define criteria for the creation of big data applications for innovative city services.

<div style="text-align: start;" align="center"><p>A smart home is a system that has been programmed and can work automatically by utilizing internet of things (IoT) technology, this system can control various electronic devices in the home. This paper presents a design for developing an IoT-based smart home monitoring system with the addition of security features. This research aims to design and develop a smart home monitoring system that uses the IoT which operates via the web and improves the security aspects of the system. This research includes the development of hardware and software that enables efficient and safe monitoring and control of various aspects of the home via smartphone or computer-based devices using resources from solar power plants. This system relies on the use of a Raspberry Pi as a microcontroller and several sensors. In this context has important value in maintaining user security, and privacy and supports the growing development of the smart home technology industry.</p></div>
