Abstract:In this paper, the two-dimensional conduction heat transfer equation on a square plate is analyzed using a finite difference method. We have developed both the forward time-centered space (FTCS) and Crank-Nicolson (CN) finite difference schemes for the two-dimensional heat equation, employing Taylor series.
