Abstract:The Tritube is a narrow-bore cuffed tracheal tube (outer diameter 4.4 mm and inner diameter ~2.4 mm) that permits effective alveolar gas exchange using flow-controlled ventilation. Constant gas flow delivers physiological minute volumes, within preset pressure limits, and applies suction to the airway during expiration.
