The transmissivity measuring device for geotextile and application of its test result

Abstract: AkiraIshikawa (OYO Corporation) SYNOPSIS.The transmissivity measuring device, in which a cylindrical geotextile section is used, was developed. The test results show that there are a wide range of transmissivity among geotextile on the market, and that these reduce considerably with increase of normal stress.The drain efficiency of geotextile, based on the numerical analysis by Gibson et al (1968), was obtained using the Gibson's curve, and compared with the results of field observation.Both of the drain effic… Show more
