The academic staff of universities plays a very important role in terms of the growth and development of nations’ economies. They make a positive contribution to the growth of a nation and are generally seen as the basis by which the needed high-level manpower or a country's development could be achieved. Despite the enormous contributions of the university sector, it is observed that their performance level especially in Nigeria is low compared to that of other nations. This is evident in declining research output. This challenge has been attributed to a variety of factors, including poor self-management. This study examined the interaction between emotional intelligence and employee performance in selected private universities in Ogun State, Nigeria. A research survey was employed in this study. The population was 1464 full-time academic staff of selected six private Universities in Ogun State, Nigeria. Multi-stage sampling, stratified sampling and simple random sampling techniques were adapted to obtain a response from all the cadres of the academic staff. The sample size of 308 was determined using Raosoft calculator. A structured and adapted questionnaire went through validity and reliability tests with Cronbach Alpha ranges between 0.728 and 0.954. The inferential statistics employed Pearson Moment Correlation Coefficient to test the hypothesis of the study. The study revealed that self-management had significant relationship with employee research output (r (296) = 0.803, p < 0.05). This study concluded that self-management affects employee research output in selected private universities in Ogun State, Nigeria. It was therefore recommended that private universities should continue to improve their academic staff’s personal development skills in order to help improve their organization's personal development. This can be achieved through sending their academic staff to conferences/workshop, seminars, and training programmes. This study examined the relationship between self-awareness and task performance among academic staff in selected private universities in Ogun State, Nigeria. The main purpose of the study was to examine interaction between self-awareness and task performance among academic staff in selected private universities in Ogun State, Nigeria. One hypothesis was postulated to guide the study; survey research design was employed in this study. The sample for the study comprised 308 full-time academic staff of selected private Universities in Ogun State, Nigeria, determined using Raosoft calculator. Multi-stage sampling techniques were adapted to obtain response from all the cadres of the academic staff. A structured and adapted questionnaire titled "Self-awareness and Employee Performance (SEP)" that was used for the study went through validity and reliability tests with Cronbach Alpha ranges between 0.728 and 0.954. Data collected were analysed using descriptive and inferential (Multiple and Hierarchical Regression) statistics. The study revealed that self-awareness had significant relationship with task performance (r (296) = 0.833, p < 0.05). Based on the result of the study, it was therefore recommended that the management of private universities should train their academic staff to acquire the competencies associated with self-awareness because a thorough understanding of oneself is an important determinant self-efficacy for improving personal performance.

This study examines customer-centric vision and sustainable value co-creation in the B2B machine manufacturing industry. It uses a generative approach to explore B2B customer expectations, focusing on co-conception and co-design. Our research aims to integrate customer-centric benefits with sustainability goals through sustainable business models and boundary work theory. In our paper, we examine a growing circular firm in the food processing machinery sector in The Netherlands. Our study is guided by the main research question, "What actions do B2B customers expect for enhanced machinery sustainability?”. We implemented a single case study and a collaborative research framework, integrating business viewpoints to enhance theoret-ical contributions within a qualitative mixed-method approach. Our findings indicate that, reduction and repurposing of water and used water, and machines generating less food waste and processing waste are among the top expectations of the B2B customers. B2B contexts are underrepresented in customer co-creation literature, therefore our paper contributes with empirical findings to this field.
