The Transition From Textbook Problems To Realistic Problems

Abstract: The vision of this project is to help students make the transition from textbook problems to realistic engineering problems in which modeling precedes analysis and analysis requires integration of concepts from various courses. To fulfill this vision, a self-paced, internet-based suite of learning tools is being developed.
