(1) Background: The main basis for the public recognition of the merits of scientists has always been the system of scientific publications and citations. Our goal is to identify and analyze the most cited articles in the Public, Environmental & Occupational Health category. (2) Methods: We searched the Web of Science for all articles published in the “Public, Environmental & Occupational Health” category up to March 2022 and selected the 100 most cited articles. We recorded the number of citations, the journal, the year of publication, quartile, impact factor, institution, country, authors, topic, type of publication and collaborations. (3) Results: 926,665 documents were analyzed. The top 100 had 401,620 citations. The journal with the most articles was the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology and the one with the highest number of citations was Medical Care. The year with the highest number of articles in the top 100 was 1998. The country with the highest percentage of publications was the USA and the most productive institution was Harvard. The most frequent keywords were bias, quality, and extension. The largest collaboration node was between the USA, Canada, Germany, Spain, Australia, France, and Sweden. (4) Conclusions: This bibliometric study on Public, Environmental & Occupational Health provides valuable information not only to identify topics of interest in the analyzed category, but also to identify the differences in the topics they study.

Background: Despite significant effort expended toward exploring fracture patterns, surgical timing, surgical approaches, and possible implants within the calcaneus fracture literature, treatment is still fraught with complications and controversy. This study aims to conduct a citation analysis of the most cited articles related to calcaneus fractures to highlight the most historically influential articles, as well as the more recent breakthrough articles that are leading change within the field. Methods: A literature search was performed via Scopus on September 20, 2021 using the terms “(calcaneus OR calcaneal OR hindfoot) AND (fracture OR injury)” to search “article title, abstract, and keywords” of all primary and review articles. Search results were rigorously reviewed to ensure appropriateness for this study. The 50 highest total cited included articles were analyzed. Title, authors, journal, country of origin, institution, year of publication, citation variables (total citation count, total citation density, citation count from the last 5 years, and 5-year citation density), and level of evidence were collected for each article. One-way analysis of variance with post hoc testing was used to identify differences in citation variables and level of evidence. Pearson correlation was used to directly compare different citation variables. Results: The total citation count average was 178±33, with a total citation density average of 9±2. The year of publication for the 50 articles ranged from 1948 to 2014, with a median year of 1999. Roy W. Sanders was the most productive author in the field, authoring 6 articles and lead authoring 3. The most frequent level of evidence was IV with 19 articles. There was a strong correlation between total citation density and 5-year citation density. The article level of evidence showed no impact on the included measures of an article’s influence. Conclusion: This study successfully analyzes and presents the characteristics among the highest cited articles related to calcaneus fractures. The provided characterization of influential works and authors highlights trends, impactful findings, and future areas of focus within calcaneus fracture literature. Bibliometric Analysis of 100 Most-Cited Articles in Delirium

Delirium is a cognitive disorder with complex etiology, which brings a great burden to social health care. Articles with high citation frequency can provide important information about the current research situation in a certain field. Web of Science was used to search the 100 most-cited articles and we extracted key information, such as the authors, countries/regions, institutions, journals, and study types of these articles. CiteSpace was used to visually analyze the keywords. Our bibliometric analysis shows that the attention in this field continues to rise. Authors from the United States published the most articles and Inouye SK is the most influential author in the field. The journals that published these articles have high impact factors. Cohort studies are the main cited articles in this field, and there are a large number of systematic reviews or meta-analyses of cohort studies. Risk factors for delirium, psychometric evaluation, hospital care, and various clinical study design are still the focus of research. In short, we summarized the 100 most-cited articles in the field of delirium to identify the current status and global trends. These results enable researchers to understand the quality and trend of research in the field of delirium and make better use of the classical literature.
