Until the late 1960s several genera of Thripidae were ill‐defined assemblages of species with either seven‐ or eight‐segmented antennae, and during the reclassification of several such genera, Bhatti (1969) transferred KCT to Megalurothrips Bagnall. However, this genus comprises 12 species from the old‐world tropics, all of which breed only in various pea and bean flowers (Fabaceae).…”
