Performance evaluation of recently launched Sysmex XN‐550 Automatic Hematology Analyzer

“…Our study also showed that the XN-550 analyzer would yield higher platelet count than the XE-2100 analyzer using PLF-O method, with minimal bias compared to the XN-3000 analyzer using PLT-F method. Given that the XN-series using PLT-F method was reported to provide a highly accurate platelet count (high values) than the former XE-2100 analyzer using PLT-O method based on the comparison with immunoplatelet reference method [11], our result would support the speculation that the XN-550 analyzer can provide more accurate platelet counts than the XE-2100 analyzer, as the XN-3000 analyzer does.…”
