“…The unavoidable increase in the number of senior paediatric surgeons and trainees will undoubtedly result in a better balance of work and leisure for both junior and senior staff. A close supervision by senior staff might help to avoid pitfalls and secure the continuous medical care of our little patients [12]. The possibilities offered by telemedicine and by a more extensive use of the internet could lessen the unwanted effect of a reduction in structured theoretical education.…”
