Greywater generated from household activities in the riverbanks settlement is flowed directly into the drainage system. This research was conducted to analyze the level of pollution due to greywater flowed into drainage system in Citarum riverbanks, Kabupaten Karawang. Research was carried out on the drainage channel around settlements in 6 villages. The parameters analyzed were TSS, COD, BOD, Oil and Grease compared to the standard Minister of Environment Regulation No.68 of 2016. The TSS parameters was 11-292 mg/L, COD 28.8-441.6 mg/L, BOD 18.01-298.36 mg/L, Oil and Grease 1.9-13 mg/L. Parameter of TSS at all sampling points were exceed the quality standard, while parameters of COD and BOD were exceed in the 4 villages. Parameter of Oil and Grease at all points was above the quality standard in February, while in April, it was below the quality standard. High pollution on drainage system could be caused by the entry of greywater into the drainage channel that would contribute to pollute the Citarum River. This was occurs due to low level of knowledge and awareness in communities about pollution in the riverbanks and that there was not a proper treatment of greywater, whether in scale of household nor communal.

This research was conducted to assess the quality of river water in the context of controlling water pollution in the TalawaanRiver in North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province. This research is a descriptive-quantitative research. The fieldresearch was carried out in the Talawaan River, North Minahasa Regency. Water quality measurement includes physicalparameters: TSS, and chemical parameters; BOD and COD were carried out at five monitoring points. The results showedthat the content of BOD, COD, and TSS in Talawaan River water met the water quality standards (Type B water). Thecharacteristics of the waste (BOD, COD and TSS), the concentration values of BOD, COD and TSS concentration values donot exceed the quality standard according to their designation. The potential for domestic waste pollution load reaches 1,495kg/day from a total population of 16,040 people. The status of Telawan River water quality is classified as ”lightly polluted”based on the studied parameters; there are several other variables that were not included in this study, such as T-P, TotalColi, and Fecal Coli

<p>Situ Gede merupakan salah satu situ alami yang memiliki luas 5,07 Ha, terletak di wilayah Kecamatan Tangerang, Kota Tangerang. Situ Gede berfungsi sebagai daerah tangkapan air, pengendali banjir, tempat rekreasi dan habitat biota air seperti ikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas air Situ Gede berdasarkan parameter fisika, kimia serta biologi dan dibandingkan dengan baku mutu berdasarkan Peraturan Pemerintah RI No. 82 Tahun 2001 serta menentukan status mutu perairan air Situ Gede dengan menggunakan Metode Indeks Kualitas Air-National Sanitation Foundation (IKA-NSF). Selain itu, untuk mengetahui pengaruh aktivitas sekitarnya, dilakukan survei dengan melakukan identifikasi kegiatan domestik. Berdasarkan hasil hasil analisis kualitas air diketahui bahwa parameter yang melebihi baku mutu adalah kekeruhan, TSS (Total Suspended Solid), fosfat, Dissolved Oxygen (DO) dan Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), sedangkan Status Mutu Situ Gede berada dalam kategori tercemar sedang, dengan nilai IKA-NSF sebesar 65,21, diduga sumber pencemar berasal dari kegiatan sekitarnya domestik seperti sampah. Dengan demikian maka solusi yang dapat diterapkan adalah dengan mengendalikan masuknya sampah ke dalam perairan dengan mengikutsertakan masyarakat sekitarnya, serta melakukan pengolahan air limbah domestik yang dapat diterapkan dimasyarakat sekitarnya.<br />Kata Kunci: kualitas air, status mutu, perairan situ</p>
