Abstract: This review provides a comprehensive understanding of magnetoelectric (ME) nanocomposite, cobalt ferrite–barium titanate (CFO–BTO) as a potential candidate for targeting specific cells. The synthesized core–shell material uses strain-mediated coupling between magnetostrictive and piezoelectric material. CFO–BTO has the competitive advantage of a high ME coefficient and is biocompatible.
