The Structure of Acrylonitrile-Butadiene Rubbers: Paramagnetic-Probe Study

Abstract: Chain microstructures and supramolecular structures of nitrile-butadiene rubbers are studied by ESR spectroscopy. On the temperature dependences of the rotational mobility (correlation time τ c) of paramagnetic probe 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl, relaxation transitions are observed. It is shown that there is a correlation between the Arrhenius parameters of rotational mobility of radical and the copolymer composition and that different brands of rubbers differ in microstructure and supramolecular struc… Show more

“…The low aggressive resistance of EM is explained by their structural features, in particular, chemical bonds between high and low molecular weight compounds, as well as the difference in binding energies. [6][7][8][9][10] The works [11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19] present data on the influence of various factors on the mechanical-chemical processes, which occur in elastomers based on saturated and unsaturated elastomers. The authors 3,16,20,21 studied the behavior of some stressed NBR-based rubbers under the γ radiation.…”
