The molecular structure of 1-methyl-1-silabicyclo[2.2.2]octatriene 121 [207] shows a rather significant amount of angular distortion, most of which appears to be localized at the bridgehead silicon atom while the bond angles at the carbon bridgehead are relatively normal (ZC=CC =119.4°, ZCCC=108.3°).…”
