The stapled hemorrhoidopexy syndrome: a new clinical entity?

Abstract: Observations led us to conclude that the stapled hemorrhoidopexy syndrome (SHS) is probably caused by the irritating presence of the titanium staples in the rectal mucosa and by the resection itself.
