The squaraine derivatives as potential photosensitizers in photodynamic therapy of cancer

Abstract: One of the potential methods for treating cancer is photodynamic therapy (PDT), which involves the targeted destruction of cancer cells through the activation of photosensitizers (PS) using light irradiation.
