The spectrum of marginally-deformed $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 CFTs with AdS4 S-fold duals of type IIB

Abstract: A holographic duality was recently established between an $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 4 non-geometric AdS4 solution of type IIB supergravity in the so-called S-fold class, and a three- dimensional conformal field theory (CFT) defined as a limit of $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 4 super-Yang-Mills at an interface. Using gauged supergravity, the $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 2 conformal manifold (CM) of this CFT has been assessed t… Show more

“…In this manner, the 𝜑 parameter was identified with a marginal deformation specifying a direction in a conformal manifold of N = 2 S-fold CFT's [26,27]. The apparent non-compactness of the parameter 𝜑, at least in the four-dimensional effective description, has been the subject of recent studies and puzzles [26,28]. Working out its uplift to ten dimensions could shed some new light on this question.…”

“…where V 0 denotes the coset element at the undeformed S-fold AdS 4 vacuum and V 𝜒 denotes the non-compact E 7 (7) transformation induced by the constant flat deformation 𝜒 . We see from (28) that the undeformed S-fold V 0 can be thought of as a seed solution from which we can generate a larger class of solutions upon acting with V 𝜒 . However, this is not the end of the story.…”
