Abstract:The effect of ionic strength, pH, temperature and co-existing ions on the sorption of Sr 2+ on biotite was investigated by batch technique. The results showed that the sorption of Sr 2+ on biotite was ignorable at pH range from 3.0 to 5.0, and then increased sharply with the increase of pH from 5.0 to 10.0. Besides, the sorption percentage of Sr 2+ on biotite significantly decreased with the increase of ionic strength. The sorption kinetics and isotherms of Sr 2+ on biotite can be well fitted by pseudo-second-… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
