“…Thus, even though SWAP's outreach and networking efforts with our community partners have helped increase the number of individuals being referred to SWAP, more efforts need to be focused on training our partners on more accurate detection of ARMS. It is also interesting to note that the proportion of men in our ARMS cohort is high and could be due to the mandatory conscription of men into the SAF and the existence of a research collaboration with SAF, whereby SWAP services are being offered as a clinical service to follow‐up with army personnel assessed to have ARMS. Upon comparison, our gender composition was similar with that of 65.5% in OASIS and 65% in PACE .…”

“…The Longitudinal Youth At‐Risk Study (LYRIKS) was initiated in 2008 with an aim of identifying key genetic, biological, psychological and social risk factors of psychoses by tracking the psychiatric outcomes of young people deemed to be at risk of developing psychosis. A description of this study design has been previously published in this journal . In order to recruit participants and raise awareness of the concept of UHR in Singapore, the study team adopted a community‐engaged framework for its outreach strategies, an approach characterized by collaborative community partnerships and coalitions catalytic for change.…”

“…The Longitudinal Youth at Risk Study (LYRIKS) is a prospective, observational, single-site project conducted in Singapore to identify the clinical, cognitive and biological factors that predict the development of psychosis (Chong et al, 2011). The study identified youth at ultra high-risk (UHR+) for developing psychosis and then followed these individuals for 2 years, assessing their neurocognitive function at 6 month intervals [For a complete description of the neuropsychological battery, see Lee et al (2013)].…”
