The Significance of Photodynamic Diagnosis Using 5-aminolevulinic Acid in The Resection of Glioblastoma

Abstract: This study elucidated the relationship between the findings of photodynamic diagnosis (PDD) using 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) and tumor control in 41 patients undergoing resection of newly diagnosed glioblastoma. All patients underwent maximal resection of contrast-enhanced lesions by PDD using 5-ALA.
