In this paper, we make a comparison among the results produced by scientists who come from the CISS, from the CICAP and from other sources. We discuss the trends of these origins regarding the formation of the Shroud Body Image. This last one is the most important result which still needs to be obtained from the investigations that are being carried out on the Shroud of Turin. The intention is to discover a relationship between articles and authors. The method used consisted of analysing many articles present in STERA Inc. The result, of the above research, highlights the always present conflict of interest which has inherent possibilities of pitting one against the other and vice versa. Therefore, if we want to achieve the result, we must change our behaviors and start again by obeying only scientific rules, without once again becoming prey to our ideologies. Just delete the Sindonology, to accept the chemical, physical, biological, forensic, textile, etc. sciences.

In this article, we ask ourselves if it is possible that Corona Discharge or Vacuum UV radiation may have been the tools to produce the Shroud body image. We are convinced that both are not appropriate mechanisms. In fact, the start of these processes is based on inconsistent hypotheses for the natural sciences, although all that follows is rational, reasonable and acceptable. However, the big initial mole remains. The complexity of this situation is such that it seems to be in a world in part Transcendent and in part Immanent. Therefore, independently from the possible results that in a next future could be obtained, due to identified photochemical processes, the Scientific Method cannot accept both the hypotheses and, consequently, the experiments. The same is also for the Theological approach which discards both proposals

Can the Shroud of Turin Improve the Understanding of the Sacred Texts?

We want to investigate the quantity of aromas brought by Nicodemus to the Sepulcher, also using research results on the Shroud of Turin. In the Gospel of John we read about 100 pounds. Nicodemus, a member of the Sanhedrin and a secret follower of Jesus, would have brought that quantity with the intention of using it. We have investigated the Gospels, the presence of aromas and the one of pollens and we have concluded that the above mixture of aloe and myrrh were absent on the Shroud. There, the present pollens were from Helichrysum, Cistus, Ferula and Pistacea: plants that provided high quality aromatics oils; Gundelia Tournefortii and Zygophyllum Dumosum pollens were absent. We think that Nicodemus wanted to treat the body of the Nazarene like the one of Asa, king of Judah, who had a funeral worthy of a king, even though he had forsaken the Lord. Thus, if an extraordinary funeral was arranged for Asa, it seemed fitting to Nicodemus to organize a more important funeral for the Son of God
