The self-grounded Bow-Tie antenna

Abstract: Abstract-The self-grounded Bow-Tie is a new type ultrawide band (UWB) small antenna. It is compact, simple and has low profile and directional UWB radiation characteristics. Simulations and measurements have shown its ultra-wideband performance, such as about -10 dB reflection coefficient and stable radiation patterns over a frequency range of 2 -15 GHz, and good time-domain impulse response.
