The role of wild rice (Oryza rufipogon) awns in seed dispersal

Abstract: Cultivated rice (Oryza sativa L.) was domesticated from the Asian wild species O. rufipogon. Compared with cultivated rice, wild rice has spikelets/seeds with long barbed awns.
