Abstract:<p>Phosphorus (P) availability to rice plants is influenced by its strong interaction with iron (Fe). In the rhizosphere microenvironment, the soil-plant interactions cause the formation of Fe-plaques that can retain porewater components, such as P. The Fe-P processes have been extensively described in paddy soils managed under continuous flooding, although, due to the increasing water scarcity, new water-saving techniques have been adopted. However, their effects on P retention/release mechanism… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
