ÖZ:Meslek yüksekokullarının amaçları arasında, sektöre yönelik nitelikli ara eleman ihtiyacını karşılamak yer almaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, mesleki programlarda öğrenim gören öğrencilerin, meslekleriyle ilişkili işyerlerinde staj yapmaları sağlanmaktadır. Staj uygulamalarından beklenen düzeyde verimin elde edilmediğine yönelik çalışmalar göz önünde bulundurulduğunda, bazı sorunların buna engel olduğu düşünülebilir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğrencilerin staj uygulamalarında yaşadıkları sorunların ortaya çıkarılmasını sağlamaktır. Bu sayede, sorunların hangi boyutlarda yoğunlaştığı ve ne tür sorunların, öğrencilerin işyeri tecrübesini olumsuz etkilediği belirlenecektir. Çalışmada nitel teknikler kullanılmıştır. Durum çalışması deseniyle yapılmış çalışmada, katılımcılardan yarı-yapılandırılmış ve yapılandırılmış görüşme formları üzerinden veriler toplanmıştır. Çalışmaya İstanbul'daki bir devlet üniversitesinde bulunan Meslek Yüksekokulu bünyesindeki stajyerler dâhil edilmiştir. Çalışmada 2016 ve 2017 yıllarında stajlarını tamamlamış katılımcıların verileri kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca staj yapılan firmalara ulaşılarak, stajyerlere yönelik değerlendirmeler de çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Toplanan veriler içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Çalışmanın bulgularına bakıldığında, staj süreçlerinde çok sayıda sorunun yaşandığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu sorunlar başlıca; öğrencinin uygulama deneyiminin düşük olması, bazı işyerlerinin stajyere gereken rolü vermemesi, iş ortamına ve işe uyum süreci, deneyim eksikliğinden kaynaklanan sorunlar ve sahada yaşanan sorunlar şeklindedir. Çalışmanın önerileri arasında, yaşanan sorunların çözülmemesi, stajlardan beklenen niteliğin elde edilmesinde olumsuz bir etkiye sahip olduğu yer almaktadır. Bu nedenle, yaşanan sorunların çözülmesi ve bu süreçte Meslek yüksekokulu ve işyerlerinin etkileşimli bir şekilde iletişim halinde olmaları sağlanmalıdır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Mesleki Eğitim, Meslek Yüksekokulu, Staj Uygulaması, Staj Sorunları, İşyeri Tecrübesi. Abstract:The objective of this study was present the behaviour of Brazil in relation to the most innovative countries in the world when faced with macroeconomic, political and social variables. Through an analysis where the Grouping Technique was use, being considered the Euclidean distance and representing these groups with dendrograms in the years from 2012 to 2016. After this analysis was constructed, a Chebyshev Inequality Test for the year of 2016 with the purpose of identifying how much Brazil needs to improve its positioning in the presented variables to be in the cluster of the most innovative countries in the world. Key words: Innovation, Technological Innovation, Innovative Countries, Innovative Environment.Resumo: O objetivo deste estudo foi apresentar o comportamento do Brasil em relação aos países mais inovadores do mundo diante das variáveis macroeconômicas, políticas e sociais. Por meio de uma análise onde foi utilizada a Técnica de Agrupamento, sendo considerada a distância Euclidiana, representando esses grupos com dendrogramas dos anos de 2012 a 2016. Após as análises, foi construído um Teste de Desigualdade de Chebyshev para o ano de 2016 com o objetivo de identificar como o Brasil precisa melhorar seu posicionamento nas variáveis apresentadas para estar no cluster dos países mais inovadores do mundo.

South African societal stakeholders are in general not satisfied with the work preparedness of newly graduated food science and technology students. There is currently little local literature available that defines the graduate capabilities required of newly graduated food scientists and technologists in South Africa. Therefore, the outcomes of an empirical analysis conducted through stakeholder engagement to identify the required graduate capabilities of newly graduated students in food science and technology are reported in this article. A self-developed questionnaire, administered as a web-based survey, was used to conduct a needs analysis to identify the required graduate capabilities.
