Abstract: Sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors, initially developed for glycemic control in type 2 diabetes, have demonstrated benefits in reducing heart failure hospitalizations, slowing chronic kidney disease, and decreasing major cardiovascular events.
