“…A survival benefit was seen in both studies with a median follow-up of 10 years. A third study, done by the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, examined the addition of RT to mastectomy and 6 months of CAFTH (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, 5-fluorouracil, tamoxifen, and aminoglutethimide) chemotherapy in 332 patients with T4N0-2, T3N1-2, and T1-2N2 disease [17]. In that study, patients treated with RT had a better local control with worse short-term systemic control, but similar overall survival.…”
