The role of microbiome in uveitis in experimental mice model

Abstract: Unlike the individual's genetic makeup, gut microbiota can be influenced, and thus used in the disease therapy or even prevention. We have shown that absence or reduction of microbiota modifies the inflammatory response in the murine model of experimental autoimmune uveoretinitis (EAU).
