“…If we recognize that perception is a process of how organizational members would acquire, receive, select, transform, organize, and interpret what they see as the seniors manager's intensions and reality while appreciating the physical and social processes which gives meaning to their environment and how they make sense of where they want to take the organization (Berelson & Steiner, , p. 88; Barber & Legge, ). Therefore, the way in which senior managers appreciate how they are perceived by the organizational members is vital to the implementation of the strategy itself (Buss & Kuyvenhofen, ; Grösnhaug & Falkenberg, ; Hasan, Subhani, & Afshari, ; Özleblebici & Çetin, ).…”

The general results (and Figure 1), can be interpreted as that housing owners have not felt very restricted nor motivated by the former Swedish building regulations and energy goals in refurbishment projects, even if they have knowledge about these aspects.…”

“…Although perception is a cognitive process [39], some authors provide some evidence on the critical role of managerial perception in both organizational decision-making and strategy formulation processes by providing some evidence on the significant influence that research from a managerial perception perspective has had on the understanding of how strategy forms in the organizations [40]. The main contribution of this effort is the elaboration of various ways in which managerial perceptions influence strategy development processes beyond only implementation [40].…”
